Terms of service
By using the services of Reparation Studio and requesting us to repair and/or alter your garments, or by placing a bespoke garment order, you are indicating your acceptance of these Terms of Service (Terms). These Terms are in accordance with New Zealand law and will be construed in accordance with the NZ courts. Reparation Studio is the trading name for sole trader Jessica Jay, and is not a limited company.
Any access and use of information on this website is subject to the Terms, and applicable laws. You will be solely responsible for your use of this site and all your activity on it. Reparation Studio reserves the right to deny access to the site at any time without notice and at our sole discretion. Harassment in any form on the site, including by email, is not tolerated. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms at any time.
Pricing
All prices and transactions are in New Zealand dollars (NZD).
All prices for alterations, repairs and bespoke services on this site are indicative only and will vary depending on the individual needs of the job.
Prices for our services are subject to change without notice.
All prices advertised are GST inclusive.
You will be provided with an estimate for your service when you place your order. We reserve the right to review and adjust the quoted price in accordance with complexity of the work. You will be notified of any changes in price of your service, and we will only proceed with the service once you have confirmed the new price.
Pricing for all sampling services are charged by the hour, and will be invoiced on completion of the service.
Payment
Once your service is complete, you will be sent an invoice. Payment can be made via bank transfer, and your order can be collected or dispatched once payment is received.
We do not store or have access to your bank details - they are transmitted directly via your internet banking provider.
Cash payment is accepted upon delivery.
Please note, during Covid19 Level 3, and Level 2 restrictions, payment can only be made via bank transfer to ensure contactless service.
Turnaround Times
Our usual turnaround time for Alterations and Repairs Services is 2-7 working days. However, this may vary and you will be made aware of the timeframe required for your service when you place your order.
Turnaround times for Bespoke Garment orders vary, and generally take between 3-8 weeks to complete. There are many factors which will effect the turnaround of Bespoke orders, and you will be made aware of the estimated timeframe during your consultation.
Refunds and Cancellations
In the event that you are unhappy with the quality of our services, we reserve the right to make best faith efforts (at our sole discretion) to remedy the situation.
Due to the subjective nature of alterations, repairs and bespoke services, we will only offer refunds in the following instances;
. your service is deemed sub-standard in quality or is incomplete.
. your garment is no longer fit for purpose.
You will not be refunded for your service in the following instances:
. change of mind
. providing inaccurate information
. you have gone against our advice
. did something to cause the problem
Reparation Studio is not responsible for any unsatisfactory results in any instance where the client has pinned garment(s) incorrectly themselves. However we reserve the right to make best faith efforts (at our sole discretion) to remedy the situation, by making any amendments necessary. The client will be invoiced for any amendments made which are caused by their own error.
All Bespoke Orders require a deposit of $50, which must be paid prior to consultation. This deposit is non-refundable. Once your order is complete, this deposit will be redeemed on the final cost of your order.
If you choose to cancel your bespoke order, you will be invoiced for any material and labour costs incurred by Reparation Studio up to the point of your cancellation.
Alterations and Repairs Guarantee
We will guarantee our work at Reparation Studio up until 30 days of the pickup date indicated on your invoice.
Reparation Studio will only be responsible for fixing any rips, holes, tears, and mistakes solely caused by work that was done on your garment by us.
We will not be responsible for wear and tear of the actual garment that does not relate to the specific alteration or repair performed by Reparation Studio.
After 30 days, the client will be responsible for their respective garment(s) and will be held fully responsible for any purported issues. Reparation Studio reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to make best faith efforts to remedy the situation after the 30-day period, provided that the client notifies us in writing that they would like us to take a look at the garment(s) to see if there is a potential solution.
Reparation Studio is not responsible for any unsatisfactory results in any instance where the client has pinned the garment incorrectly themselves. However we reserve the right to make best faith efforts (at sole discretion) to remedy the situation, by making any amendments necessary, the client will be invoiced for any amendments made which are due to their own error.
Limitation to Liability
In the unlikely event that an item becomes damaged under the care of Reparation Studio, the liability of the item shall not exceed $150, regardless of brand or condition unless previously agreed in writing between both parties. We will investigate any complaint promptly and pay fair compensation for damage or loss due to our negligence. If you are unhappy with any part of the completed repair or alterations service you have 24 hours to contact us.
In the unlikely instance of an item being misplaced or lost, we ask that you advise us within 24 hours of the return of your garment(s) so that we may investigate the matter and make a determination. Our liability shall not exceed $150 regardless of brand or condition unless previously agreed in writing between both parties.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. When you visit reparationstudio.com we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address and time zone.
When you place an order with Reparation Studio, we require personal information from you, including your name, email address and phone number. You can update your personal information at any time by emailing jess@reparationstudio.com. This information is used to communicate with you regarding any orders, screen orders for potential risk or fraud, and at your consent, send you any emails with information or promotional material relating to our products or services.
We will not sell or trade your personal information to others. Your details will be kept on a private database for Reparation Studio use only. If you no longer wish to belong to our Reparation Studio database and would like all of your information to be removed from our system, please contact jess@reparationstudio.com and your information will be removed.
